Cook ~ M-Th 7am-1pm
Must be at least 18 years old with HS Diploma. Extremely simple meal preparation. Documentation and inventory responsibilities. Occasional classroom coverage if needed.
Substitute - Hours and Ages Vary
Must be at least 18 years old with HS Diploma + 1yr experience working w/children

1. Fingerprint information: go to https://www.pa.cogentid.com/index_dpwNew.htm to register for fingerprinting. Prints are done at The Ship Shop UPS store on Rt. 6 in Shohola, PA. Cost $27.50.
2. State Police Clearance: Go to https://epatch.state.pa.us/Home.jsp Go to Submit a new record check. Cost $7.00.
3. Child Abuse Clearance: Go to https://www.compass.state.pa.us/cwis/public/home Create individual Account. Cost $7.00.

Click on 'Login' and select 'New Users Create Account Here'
Enter in required information and select 'Good Shepherd Child Care Center, INC' as your place of employment. This will create your registry ID number. Once established on site, select 'My PD Registry' from tabs on left. Select "My Learning Path" from center tabs and complete the Self Assessment Survey required to develop your PD (Professional Development) plan within 1 month of hire. Meet with director to discuss PDR requirements and policies.

New Staff Orientation or NSO is completed in 2 parts. The first is a general orientation that must be completed by everyone. The second half you will need to select the appropriate new staff orientation for your age group: Infant Toddler, Preschool, or School Age. Complete training using recommended resources as well as GSCCC parent handbook, employee manual, and peers/director as well. Training must be completed within 60 days of hire. Submit receipt of payment for reimbursement. Certificate of completion must be submitted and 15 hours of comp time will be given when printed certificate of completion is received.
